Food Photography: Beef Stroganoff and Bloody Mary

In food photography, here is a Beef Stroganoff and a Bloody Mary, enjoyed last Wednesday, I think, at a Moscow restaurant..

First exposure achieved with the aid of a smartphone controlled Sony HDR-AS50 wide angle action cam.

The other exposures are from my Sony rx100 m2.

Tomato based drinks go nice with potatoes... or even before it as in this case.

What are you (me) wearing right now (WAYWRN): a linen jacket for the summer!

Actually the "right now" was already a couple of days ago as I first posted this on my other blog.

Also, some of those face covering images (I mean move poster ones) don't seem now as funny as they did when I just made them but can't be helped, sorry.

Sleeves are too long but will have to do without alterations as they are comparable expensive and it would be like throwing good money away after bad.

But, on the other hand, extra-long sleeves will come in handy when needed to insulate myself from door handles and such in public establishments to avoid any bare hand contact - very important especially in this day and age!

Brand is nothing to write home about but it is okay I guess.

WAYWN Photography: May Looks

Here is using a Sony HDR-AS50 action come for WAYW(R)N photography and a lookbook for a day in a cold month of May in 2020 in Moscow.

WAYW(R)N stands for What Are You Wearing (Right) Now and is a popular thread topic on style blogs (not that I have any... actually I do!).

There may be other names for it, especially as used on Instagram but can't think of them right now.

Street style.

Street-wise, good to blend in with crowds of guest workers.

Also maybe described as gopnik-style.

Anyway a Sony action cam, a Sony HDR-AS50 in this instance, seems particularly suited for this type of photography.

True it's wide angle and distorts some but I find this type of distortion suits me ).

Also, it's always (more or less) in focus if you don't come too close to it which is a great boon as you don't typically have time to deal with focusing issues in this type of photography, especially when out and about.

I am controlling it via a dedicated Sony app on my iPhone.
