Here is another New Year tree (aka Christmas tree) defocused with a sony rx100 m2 in December 2019.

The real number is probably higher but not by orders of magnitude as these are only what I uploaded (but I do upload most of my pictures) but could still be double of that number.

First, the New Year tree on the Manezh Square.

The History Museum, which is already on Red Square proper, is on the background.

People on Red Square - crowds but not massive, many are parents with small children.

Spasskaya tower with the Kuranty clock.

The Ruby (glass) star.

The Minin and Pozharsky monument in front of St. Basil's cathedral.

The square houses a massive fair-like event plus there is an ice rink but mainly for the little ones, I think.

Food.

Samovar for tea making.

Belyash on Red Square - had one - eatable but nothing to write fondly home about and 200 rubles too.
