Two Cans of Stone Ruination Double IPA in Garden in May

In Beer Photography series, here are two cans of Stone Ruination Double IPA.

Consumed in a garden in May...

Very, very good, a strong aroma and taste of IPA in general, and hops in particular, is refreshing, invigorating and intoxicating.

So, as the name implies, the style of this beer is double IPA (Indian Pale Ale).

The world "double" in the language of craft beer means "stronger (alcoholic content)", and a synonym is "Imperial", which also means "stronger".

I rate it 3.6 / 5 which is very high on my scale.

Those who have developed taste buds for craft beer can feel the flavor of orange and grapefruit pith, notes of pine and an expensive perfume, while the main malt "body" is first soft and velvety and then suddenly gives way to bitterness - 100 IBUs kick in!

And yet the beer remains very pleasant to drink - a paradox!

And then there is an explosion of hop aroma and taste which nobody will miss - indeed a "liquid poem to the glory of hops"!

P900 ACTION: BLUE MOON OF MAY 2019, THE LAST ONE OF DECADE

Here is me using my P900 again to document the last full moon of the month of May 2019 which also makes it somehow the last Blue Moon of this decade, with the next one to appear only in 2021 or 22.

Blue moon is kinda an unofficial name, here is per wikipedia.

These pictures were taken in P900's dedicated Moon mode, with filters.

Baby Thrush

This is a baby bird, a fledgling actually.

And is one of the thrushes most likely.

"People often want to help fledglings, as they appear vulnerable, but it is best to leave them alone", and I did leave it alone; in fact, it left me alone as it ran away.

But other sources claim that you have to place it somewhere off the ground:

Although out of the nest, a fledgling does not need to return to its nest. Since fledglings are able to use their feet to grip, hold out your index finger like a perch and use a bird treat to encourage the fledgling to perch on your finger. Once the fledgling is on your finger, gently place it on some shrubbery or a tree branch.^[7]

• If the fledgling does not want to perch on your finger, try gently wrapping it in a towel to pick it up and place it on higher ground.
• If you try to place the fledgling back in its nest, it will likely fall out of the nest again.^[8]
• The fledgling needs to be above the ground to protect it from predators.
